Believe in You! by Sharele Hatfield

When starting a new venture or going through a rough time, it can be hard to believe in yourself. Negative thoughts can overwhelm you and stop you from pushing forward and trying to make things better for yourself. However, the ability to believe in yourself and think positively can be the driving force you need to change your life for the better! Read on to find some practical tips to help you change your mindset and believe in yourself!

Visualize Your Success

What is your goal? What does it look like? Who does it involve? What needs to happen in order for you to reach it? Take a minute, close your eyes, and visualize in your mind exactly what needs to happen in order for you to reach your goal and what it will look like when you reach it. Visualization is a powerful tool that is easy to use. When you visualize your success, you are setting up positive thoughts in your mind that make it easier for you to believe in yourself and your abilities!

Fake it Till You Make It

We’ve all heard the expression “fake it till you make it”, but how can that help you believe in yourself? Acting with confidence, even when you’re not feeling it, can help you trick your brain into thinking that anything is possible. So act with confidence and authority, and the belief in yourself will soon follow!

Take Action

Start by making a plan of how you want to achieve your goal. Break a large goal up into smaller steps, and begin with Step 1. By breaking up a large task into smaller, more manageable tasks, you will find yourself having success with each small task, which will boost your confidence. As you succeed with each small step and your confidence grows, your belief in yourself will become stronger!

Have a Ritual

Use a vision board, a daily mantra, a journal, or some other type of daily ritual to positively affirm yourself. Start your day with positive thoughts, and that positivity will carry you through the day. Set the tone for your day at the very beginning so that no matter what is thrown at you, you can still have the ability to believe in yourself.

Use visualization, acting with confidence, and setting small goals to help you believe in yourself! You are worthy of meeting your goals, and can achieve them as long as you believe in yourself!

  1. Thank you. I refuse to start my day without prayer and I have a regular morning routine. Without it my day never feels quite right.

    1. I agree with you. Routines are more important than most realize.
